As Lead Designer at the new mobility startup VEOMO, I worked on several product designs, primarily in the MVP stage, aimed at making urban mobility more user-friendly and reducing car dependency in cities. I was also responsible for user testing and integrating feedback into the design process. The projects covered areas like data visualization, mapping, booking and payment flows, as well as collaboration with major clients such as ImmoScout, BVG, and some of Germany’s largest real estate companies, such as STRABAG.
These projects required me to quickly get up to speed on new topics and develop multiple design iterations to meet each client’s specific needs. Many of the clients came from older generations and were accustomed to more traditional design solutions, so finding the right balance between modern approaches and familiar, “safe” options was key.
I led the early-stage design of an app that visualises public transport and new mobility services on an interactive map. The app allowed users to easily find, compare, and book available options, making car-free travel more accessible.
I designed and user-tested a plugin for real estate platforms that calculates the distance to the nearest public transport options and new mobility services, helping users better evaluate location accessibility.
I designed a platform that allows users to easily compare multiple locations based on access to public transport and new mobility options, which can be very useful for example while rentint or buying a flat.
I worked on early-stage design for a data analysis platform that helps users understand how micromobility options, such as bikes and scooters, are used throughout the city. The goal was to support better infrastructure planning based on real demand. The platform included various visualisations, such as interactive maps, time distribution charts, and transport mode counters.
